GET was responsible for the geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing for the $20.1 million K-6 School for the Baldwin County Board of Education. The school is an approximate 115,000 square foot single story concrete masonry structure. The project also includes a gymnasium, cafeteria and kitchen, all pre-engineered steel frame construction, as well as the design and construction of all associated school drives and parking areas.
Construction materials testing services included laboratory and field testing of soils, concrete and grout field testing and laboratory compression strength testing, pavement installation monitoring and testing and all associated documentation and distribution of field and test reports. Project services also included Special Inspections and Non-Destructive Testing and reporting.
