Phase I of Cooperative Security Location

    GET was responsible for the soils explorations and geotechnical engineering studies for the Cooperative Security Location for the US Army Corps of Engineers. The geotechnical efforts consisted of 38 geotechnical borings, 20 test pits, dynamic cone penetrometer testing, preparing a geotechnical report, and Pre and Post Survey site investigations for the proposed Operations/Support Facilities and the 135,000 SM aircraft apron at Palanquero, Colombia. Total construction project costs were approximately $45.6 million.
